Custom Designed & Built Guitars

Guitars from Pendells Custom Guitar Studio are designed and built by Richard Pendell.  Richard is a qualified engineer, a master craftsman and a dedicated artist.

Richard began his career with an apprenticeship in engineering pattern-making.  Whilst this was a fantastic grounding, he found it somewhat stifling of his more creative artistic abilities.  His career took a new direction upon joining Pinewood Studios where he worked on Bond films among many other projects.  After gaining experience in many and varied model-making studios, Richard set up his own model-making firm in 1980 and went on to win many prestigious contracts.  His client list includes Warner Brothers, Body Shop, Cadbury and Rolls Royce to name but a few.

However, with his passion for good music and lifelong love for guitars, it was only a matter of time before he turned his skills to guitar building.  Richard has now been building guitars professionally since 1992.  Every Pendells guitar is a unique instrument, hand-crafted by a true master craftsman in a world where such skills are rare.  He has received widespread recognition and a number of professional artists own and play Pendell guitars.
